Electrical Engineer, Journeyman

SMX Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support and advance the Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office (PMA-271) to deliver and support survivable, reliable and endurable airborne command, control and communications for the president, secretary of defense and U.S. Strategic Command.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Engineering artifacts such as drawings, circuit diagrams, and technical data
  • Support airframe harnesses for the PMA-271 Program
  • Retrieve technical data from the PMA-271 platform
  • Communicate issues regarding circuits on the airframe
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience with engineering of military harnesses and generating artifacts
  • Strong ability to interpret and identify parts, tools, and suitable substitutes for MIL circular connector and wire standards
  • Ability to clearly redline and communicate issues from source data to senior Engineers for investigation and resolution
  • 3+ years' experience with retrieving technical data from military platform maintenance / user guide systems
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
Preferred Skills:
  • 5+ years drafting experience in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Experience creating inputs (diagrams, weights, weight/balance, procedures, parts lists) for ECP and TD documentation
  • Experience designing aircraft harnesses for fixed wing narrow body aircraft or larger platforms
