Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to infants, children, and teens with respiratory disorders. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, execute therapeutic procedures, and foster effective communication to achieve superior patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • Current Florida Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation period
