Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Property & Buildings group, you will be responsible for delivering electrical design solutions for various projects in Dallas and Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical design strategies for projects, including electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Design and develop electrical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery and coordination.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, including emergency generator systems, and select major equipment and schedule.
  • Produce high-quality technical and professional deliverables, including reports and proposals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in electrical buildings system design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and other relevant design software.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE, LEED AP Certification.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or laboratory design.
  • Knowledge of AGI or other lighting calculation programs.
  • Knowledge of SKM Power*Tools.
  • Knowledge of building and energy codes.
