Job Summary:
Heritage Grocers Group is seeking a skilled Meat Clerk to join our team. As a Meat Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prices and ensure accurate labeling of meat products;
- Rotate and restock meat displays to maintain a visually appealing and organized store environment;
- Process and handle meat products in accordance with company standards and food safety guidelines;
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner;
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere;
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the store.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred;
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
- Valid Food Handlers Card required.
Working Conditions:
The Meat Clerk will work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent exposure to refrigerated and frozen products. The ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time is required.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is $16.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
