At SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospitals, a division of Select Medical, you will deliver advanced treatment and holistic care to address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges faced by individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.
We employ over 48,000 professionals nationwide, providing quality care to approximately 70,000 patients daily across our four divisions.
In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care across two Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals and three Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals.
Responsibilities include conducting nursing assessments as part of a systematic evaluation of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and families through interviews, observations, and physical examinations.
You will educate and counsel patients and families, making referrals to appropriate resources based on identified healthcare needs.
As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, you will participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care goals. You will communicate the nursing care plan for each patient during shift changes, reports, conferences, rounds, and patient care records.
You will be responsible for accurate, concise, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in accordance with policy.
Ensure that medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately, integrating the medical care plan into nursing care delivery. Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques in decision-making, organizing, setting priorities, and effectively managing time.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives within nursing and actively participate in nursing committees.Additional Information:
