Role Responsibilities and RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment and assist in surgical procedures.
- Understand the necessary preparations for various surgical interventions.
- Evaluate patients prior to surgery, ensuring they comprehend the procedure and that a safety protocol is followed.
- Exhibit teamwork and adaptability while serving as a resource for the Surgical Services team.
- Take responsibility for delivering high-quality nursing care and promoting a positive image of the nursing profession.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- At least one year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room environment is essential.
- Valid Registered Nurse License in the relevant state or a multi-state compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
- Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
