Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Nurse in executing the care plan for a designated group of patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the nursing assessment by gathering, documenting, and communicating both objective and subjective information.
- Delivering direct patient care in a safe and effective manner.
- Continuously evaluating the care plan to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally, with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery within your assigned area.
Education and Training Requirements:
- Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing - LPN is required.
- No prior work experience is necessary.
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Practical Nurse credentials in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee as per the respective State Boards of Nursing.
- This position does not include supervisory or leadership duties.
- This role may involve physical activities such as climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Good balance and coordination are essential.
- The physical demands include medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
- Close visual acuity is necessary for assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
- Frequent contact with patients, including exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials, is expected.
- Ability to respond swiftly to emergency situations is crucial.
