The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal RF Design Engineer to join our RF Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the RF subsystem for our StreamCaster MANET product line. This is a full-time position located at our office in Rancho Bernardo, North San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop competitive RF Front End architectures for various radio and sensor applications
  • Design and develop antenna to baseband RF subsystems using discrete circuitry or highly integrated RFICs
  • Implement or supervise schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Perform RF performance characterization, tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure overall system design for good EMI performance
  • Ensure circuit board design and overall radio product can pass emission and immunity regulations
  • Troubleshoot RF-related production yield problems
  • Improve design for manufacturability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of multi-GHz RF hardware development experience
  • Hands-on experience with solving EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability issues
  • Good working knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging
  • Strong familiarity with using RF simulation tools (i.e. AWR Microwave Office, Altium)

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
