We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Nurse Clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Acute Care MedSurg Post Surgical Nights unit.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe, dependable, and effective care to patients independently utilizing the nursing process.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner, utilizing electronic medical records and other documentation tools.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in designated departments.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and a high level of patient acuity. The successful candidate will be able to lift 75 pounds, carry objects up to 35 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. The work environment may involve exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, and other environmental hazards.
