We are seeking a highly skilled Child Psychotherapist II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our mental health team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychotherapy services to children and adolescents, including evaluation, treatment planning, and individual and group therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess the mental health needs of children and adolescents, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions, using evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and agencies to provide referrals and support for patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health services.
- Masters degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Clinical Professional Counselor License (Maryland) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Certified (Maryland) within 12 months of hire.
- Professional Counselor License (Virginia) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Virginia) or Social Worker License (Virginia) within 12 months of hire.
- Licensed Social Worker (District of Columbia) or Independent Clinical Social Worker License (District of Columbia) or Professional Counselor License (District of Columbia) within 12 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience providing individual and group therapy.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience providing urgent care or crisis intervention.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience providing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
- Experience providing DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
- Experience working with Eating Disorder, OCD, and/or Borderline Personality Disorder Populations.
This is a full-time position with a flexible remote work schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote work. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with one evening shift per week, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm.
