Position Overview

  • Involvement in MRB (Material Review Board) operations, addressing NCs (Non-Conformances), QNs (Quality Notifications), and concessions related to metallic components and structures.
  • Expertise in detailed sizing of metallic parts and structures, including static and fatigue assessments of repairs, alterations, and NCs through classical hand calculations.
  • Proven experience in substantiating non-conformances for engine and structural metallic components, with a strong understanding of metallic material properties.
  • Familiarity with elastomers (seals, diaphragms) and assemblies, fluid systems, and electronic components is advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Proficient in CAD modeling, SAP, PDM, Catia V5 (optional), SolidWorks, EPDM, FEM modeling, Ansys, tolerance stack analysis, MS Word, MS Excel, and Mathcad.
  • Knowledge of aerospace structures, engines, and systems is beneficial, along with experience in aircraft component certification reports and NC evaluations.
  • Understanding of FAA and EASA specifications is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including airworthiness teams, quality teams, manufacturing teams, design teams, stress teams, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Experience in managing out-of-box returns (OOB) and leading RCCA for non-conforming products is a plus.
  • Responsible for managing MRB inventory and QN count metrics on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Team to execute return-to-vendor (RTV) actions and issue concessions to end customers.
  • Willingness to travel to various suppliers as required by assignments.
  • Demonstrated capability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks while adapting to change.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. Consideration will be given to candidates with an associate's degree in engineering and four years of relevant professional experience in the manufacturing or aerospace industry, or a diploma with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to comply with ITAR regulations and site SSA requirements.
  • Strong background in QNs, concessions, and MRB, providing frontline support to manufacturing operations. Knowledge of production and aerospace components is an advantage.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills regarding project status and progress, with the ability to lead effectively at all organizational levels and maintain flexibility.
  • Proven experience with problem-solving techniques such as 5 Whys, 8D, and DMAIC.
  • Experience in process control awareness is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in basic office software, particularly the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience working with customer specifications and standards.
