Position Overview:

Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions that are critical to the daily financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing expert advice in the design, development, and execution of both new and existing accounting programs and systems.
  • Assisting the accounting supervisor in guiding junior accountants who are tasked with reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial records and reports.
  • Ensuring precise documentation of agency Fixed/Capital assets within the financial system.
  • Generating comprehensive financial reports.
  • Advising management on potential trends that may indicate discrepancies in service payments.
  • Establishing internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and address complex audit adjustments.
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in accounting operations, including evaluating processes and systems, reviewing intricate financial transactions, and preparing detailed reports.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting or a related field, supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in accounting coursework.
  • Official transcripts verifying the degree and accounting coursework.

Specialized Experience:
Applicants should have experience that equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively fulfill the duties of this position. This experience should typically relate to the work of the position being filled.
