Position:

Housekeeping Houseperson

Overview:

The Housekeeping Houseperson is essential in ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel's public spaces while assisting room attendants with the upkeep of guest accommodations.

Key responsibilities encompass vacuuming, carpet shampooing, floor maintenance, waste disposal, inventory management of supplies, and various cleaning duties.

Ideal Candidate:
Prior experience in similar positions within hospitality or healthcare environments is advantageous.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all housekeeping carts and supply areas fully stocked as per established standards.
  • Manage the removal of laundry and restocking of linens.
  • Ensure cleanliness in shared spaces such as elevators, corridors, and staircases, including window washing, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns swiftly to uphold high satisfaction rates.
  • Comply with hotel safety protocols and procedures, promptly reporting any incidents.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, utilizing commercial cleaning agents, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Foster and maintain positive interactions with both colleagues and guests.
  • Meet attendance expectations, accommodating varied shifts as required.
  • Execute additional job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Physical requirements include extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.

Given the cyclical nature of the hospitality sector, flexibility in work schedules, including weekends and holidays, is anticipated.

Participation in mandatory training sessions and meetings is also required.
