This role is integral to the daily operations of our pharmacy services within a vibrant healthcare setting. Responsibilities include the management of medication orders, preparation, and distribution of pharmaceuticals. The position requires the application of strong interpersonal, customer service, decision-making, and teamwork skills to effectively meet operational goals.
Work Location: UMMC West Bank
Work Hours: 80 hours bi-weekly
Shift Schedule: day/evening/night, with every other weekend included

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with healthcare providers and pharmacists to ensure patients receive their medications accurately and safely, adhering to all legal and organizational policies.
- Under pharmacist supervision, process prescriptions/orders from electronic medical records, utilizing appropriate systems and protocols to prepare and dispense medications in a timely and compliant manner.
- Manage the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies, and equipment to patients and clinical areas as needed.
- Engage in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives, along with other assigned projects.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification:
- Must be eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy and for certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
- National certification is required within 12 months of employment. Acceptable certifying exams must be accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), including the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and The Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
