Position Overview:

Austin Industrial is a distinguished employee-owned enterprise with over a century of experience in delivering construction, maintenance, and specialized services across various sectors, including oil, gas, chemicals, energy, and manufacturing.

We are in search of a Scaffold Builder Leadman. This role involves the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the scaffolding field. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate at heights with confidence.
  • Assess and determine the appropriate type of scaffold required for specific tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the job site and all scaffold materials for any defects or safety risks.
  • Communicate effectively regarding safety hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks before scaffold construction begins.
  • Transport tubular scaffolding and other structural materials, erecting them to specified dimensions.
  • Utilize hoisting techniques to elevate scaffolding materials for temporary structure assembly.
  • Ensure proper securing and leveling of scaffold sections for stability.
  • Secure scaffolding to permanent structures to enhance stability and safety.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations, site-specific protocols, and Austin Industrial standards during scaffold erection and navigation.
  • Perform final inspections of completed scaffolding to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Dismantle scaffolding upon receiving proper communication to do so.
  • Inspect and appropriately store scaffolding materials after dismantling.
