Night Auditor

The Night Auditor is a key member of the hotel team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and providing exceptional guest service. As a Night Auditor, you will be the first point of contact for guests during the overnight shift, handling check-ins, check-outs, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and telephone revenue for accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of daily management and accounting reports
• Complete and transmit daily reports with supporting documentation
• Prepare General Manager reports
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of the complimentary breakfast service
• Act as the security point of contact during the shift
• Communicate with the Operations Manager to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services
• Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions
• May book guest reservations and process cancellations and revisions

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• One year of previous hotel experience preferred
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages, and variances
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred
