Job Summary

Gonzaga University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Biomedical Engineering Professor to join our faculty. As a tenure-track professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in biomedical engineering, developing and maintaining a research program, advising students, and contributing to the growth and development of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in biomedical engineering, including mechanics, signals, bio transport, and systems
  • Develop and maintain a research program that involves undergraduate students and contributes to the field of biomedical engineering
  • Advise students in their course selection and career path choices
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our department through service and committee work
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated record of teaching and mentoring students with diverse backgrounds, identities, cultures, and experiences
  • Evidence of an ongoing scholarly/research agenda
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant teaching record with a focus on undergraduate instruction
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and run a research program
  • Engineering practice in academic, industry, or government settings
