Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Activities Coordinator to join our team at Sevita. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and conducting recreational activities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities that cater to the preferences and needs of individuals served.
  • Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff on activity delivery methods and techniques, as well as at staff meetings.
  • Determine and implement necessary precautions to ensure the care and safety of individuals served.
  • Maintain curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure that varied and age-appropriate activities are planned and conducted for all individuals served.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Activity Coordinator preferred.
  • Two years' experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing with car registration and vehicle insurance.
  • All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes.
  • Reliable, responsible, and caring nature.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
