This role involves participating in the recruitment and disciplinary processes, ensuring that all team members demonstrate competency in their tasks, particularly those impacting product safety, legality, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the facility and its equipment are maintained to meet established standards.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager or Superintendent in executing assigned responsibilities.
  • Plan, assign, and supervise the work of engineering personnel during the designated shift.
  • Provide training to new employees in line with established training protocols and operational procedures, showcasing unique operational methods.
  • Oversee and participate in the repair and maintenance of all machinery and equipment within the facility.
  • Interpret and implement schematics and mechanical drawings effectively.
  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain a collaborative work environment.
  • Promote adherence to safety programs and ensure compliance with safe operating procedures among employees.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas throughout the shift.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to EEO, safety regulations, and operational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, which may include fulfilling work schedules and adhering to attendance policies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in industrial operations, maintenance, or utilities.
  • Proficient knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, motor control, and PLC systems.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment through effective troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and networking devices is advantageous.
  • Experience managing a Preventative Maintenance Program is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology or equivalent formal training and work experience.
  • Completion of a formal management skills training program is preferred.
