Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Cardiology Office team in Albany, NY. As a per diem LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our team in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities
  • Administer nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Professional.
  • Assist with treatments and procedures, and carry out selected duties within the framework of the established nursing plan of care.
  • Collect routine patient data per protocols and/or as directed by the clinical supervisor.
  • Recognize high-risk situations and report them appropriately.
  • Confer with the clinical supervisor routinely concerning the plan of care.
  • Make suggestions as to referrals to other disciplines.
  • Fulfill protocols or clinical guidelines in establishing workflow priorities.
  • Demonstrate acceptable technical skills in providing care.
  • Follow standards of care, established protocols, or clinical guidelines in providing patient care.
  • Follow infection control policies in administering care.
  • Provide patient care in consideration of age-related requirements.
  • Reinforce patient and family teaching.
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with relevant unit policies and procedures.
  • Accurately transcribe physician orders.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of computer skills relevant to the care area.
  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with assignments.
  • Function as a team member in carrying out assignments.
Requirements
  • A current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
  • High School diploma / GED required.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive pay range of $22.85 - $32.30, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
