Job Summary:

The Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient flow and delivering high-quality care within the clinic. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to interpret EKG readings, and effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with consults and procedures within their scope of practice, including setting up sterile fields and supporting imaging modalities.
  • Monitor vital signs such as EKG, pulse oximetry, and respiratory rate, promptly recognizing abnormalities and communicating findings to the healthcare team.
  • Assist patients with activity, mobility, and coordinate communication between staff members.
  • Interpret EKG readings and identify basic arrhythmias.
  • Administer oral, IM, and subcutaneous medications skillfully.
  • Set up and assist physicians with procedures within their scope of practice.
  • Accurately perform 12-lead EKGs.

Requirements:

  • Active California LVN license with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
  • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical LVN experience.
  • Phlebotomy Certificate.
