Cutting Press Operator Assistant

As a Production Technician at Graphic Packaging International, your role will involve preparing product loads for cutting presses, ensuring cleanliness within the cutting department, and supporting SQF Audits to maintain compliance with SQF standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare air loads for each cutting press
  • Clear conveyor lines from the Asitrade
  • Remove scrap sheets from each press, bundle waste loads, and transport them to the warehouse
  • Transfer laminated sheet loads to the Asitrade WIP area
  • Maintain daily time and materials usage reports using SAP and RF Gen
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks
  • Assist temporary staff with task assignments while reinforcing SQF standards and the core values of Graphic Packaging International
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and Manager
  • Contribute to protecting and enhancing Graphic Packaging International's reputation in relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies

Essential Skills:

  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
  • Ability to distinguish colors visually
  • Familiarity with SQF compliance standards
  • Knowledge of food defense compliance standards
  • Forklift certification
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, bending, and overhead reaching
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Fine hand manipulation skills
  • Ability to grasp and grip
  • Reading from computer screens or other electronic devices
  • Color vision is essential
  • Must be available for 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed
  • Flexibility to work any shift (day or night)
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required
