The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission by teaching swimming lessons and promoting water safety to our community members.

• Instruct swimming lessons and prepare lesson plans according to YMCA standards.
• Build effective relationships with parents and students to connect and inform them of each other's and student's accomplishments.
• Convey information on aquatics programs and schedules, and refer students and parents to other programs.
• Maintain records and attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• At minimum, some high school level education (over 16+ years of age).
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification and Emergency Oxygen.
• Current YMCA Swim Instructor certification or training provided.

• $300 Signing Bonus.
