Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, performing specific services to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients. The Medical Assistant must understand the needs of the practice and support the mission and values of WakeMed.
Responsibilities:
• Perform various clinical and administrative tasks to support the healthcare team
• Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, injections, and other procedures
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Assist with medical procedures and surgeries
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Graduate Medical Assisting Preferred
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) within 24 months of hire
• 2 Years Clinical - Medical Assistant Preferred
Work Schedule:
M-F, 8am-5pm, with the possibility of 5pm in the future
Weekend and Call Requirements:
No Weekends, No Call
