About the Role:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
