Job Summary

Penhall Company Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Cutting Trainee to join our team. As a Concrete Cutting Trainee, you will assist experienced operators in performing various concrete cutting and removal tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Ford F-550 flatbed truck with dump bed to transport equipment and materials.
  • Perform general labor tasks, including removing concrete and asphalt using burke bars and jackhammers.
  • Assist in interior demolition, removing drywall, metal, and wood stud walls, drop ceilings, old plumbing pipes, and electrical conduit.
  • Work collaboratively with crews or independently on jobs, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a good driving history.
  • Be available to work dayshift, nights, weekends, and out-of-town assignments as needed.
  • Provide reliable transportation and wear steel-toe leather work boots.
  • Read and complete job tickets, safety plans, and job safety pre-task plans accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with pneumatic jackhammers and rivet busters.
  • Proficiency in operating jackhammers and other power tools.
  • Strong safety orientation and commitment to safe working practices.
  • Ability to lift and move 45 pounds or more.
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
