Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, maintain, and improve network reliability, availability, and performance
  • Maintain and respond to alerts from network monitoring tools such as InterMapper, ManageEngine, and vROPS
  • Work with server and virtualization infrastructure and technologies
  • Interface with customers to resolve system-related issues while providing world-class IT and customer service
Requirements:
  • An active Top-Secret security clearance and the ability to commute to work at our customer site in Arlington, VA
  • 6 years of experience provisioning, installing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and VMware
  • 6 years of experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory domains, VMware vSphere, and VMware Horizon
  • Experience using system monitoring tools such as InterMapper and vROPS (ManageEngine experience a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MCSE, VCP, Security+ or equivalent certifications
  • Microsoft or VMware certification (VCP, VCAP, or Design Expert)
  • Experience with the Department of State
  • Ability to apply knowledge of data networks to satisfy real-time environments
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as SCCM, VSphere, RDP, and ServiceNow
Working Environment & Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment with a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
