Snowmaker Job Description

A Snowmaker Technician with Mountain Capital Partners operates and maintains snowmaking equipment to produce high-quality machine-produced snow. This role requires collaboration with other Mountain Operations departments to create and maintain the best possible snow surface for Resort guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain various snowmaking equipment.
• Practice safe snowmaking procedures to produce high-quality snow.
• Set up, move, monitor, and adjust snowmaking guns.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on snowmaking equipment as needed.
• Ensure no damage to trees, lifts, buildings, vehicles, or the environment occurs.
• Complete necessary paperwork and logs in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with other Mountain Operations departments.
• Comply with all Mountain Operations and Snowmaking safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical skills required.
• Must be able to operate snowmobiles or other all-terrain vehicles and pass a driving test.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work and hike for extended periods of time at a high elevation and in inclement, unpredictable, and cold weather conditions, at night. Must be able to push, pull, or drag up to 150 lbs, lift or carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and operate controls. Auditory, tactile, and visual discrimination are necessary capabilities.
