Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. This role works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics, providing high-quality care and support. In addition, the Cardiovascular Technologist trains other Cath Lab personnel and completes established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature
  • Assist physicians during all procedures
  • Work with patients from adolescents to geriatrics
  • Train other Cath Lab personnel
  • Complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period

Requirements

  • Graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in health science
  • 2 years of interventional Cath Lab or 2 years of Electrophysiology experience
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • AHA ACLS certification within 60 days of hire
