We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Forest City, IA. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist with meal preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
The Good Samaritan Society offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $17 - $25.50 per hour, as well as opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.
