Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing, coding, testing, debugging, and implementing complex interactive and/or dynamic web-based and client/server database applications using established standards.
The successful candidate will support, maintain, and enhance existing web-based and desktop client/server database applications, collaborate with other TSS staff, and work as a team player with a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, code, test, debug, and implement complex interactive and/or dynamic web-based and client/server database applications using established standards.
- Support, maintain, and enhance existing web-based and desktop client/server database applications.
- Collaborate with other TSS staff with input from TSS clients in the development, maintenance, and documentation of automated processes, data storage, and development needs of the college.
- Use the IT ticketing system to identify and troubleshoot issues found within existing systems.
- Work as a team player, appropriately exhibiting a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent recent experience in technology environment directly related to position.
- Theories, principles, and operational practices of database design, and application development.
- Database management systems and querying data for applications and reports.
- Current practices in web-based development.
- Security practices and principles for maintaining security and data privacy.
- Familiarity with C# and Java.
Working Conditions
This position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, and physically attend meetings both on and off campus.
The College is currently providing services in a mixed modality of operations (both online and in-person services are offered).
Administrators are assigned to work on campus, noting there may be some opportunities to work remotely based on program or area needs.
When working on-campus, this position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, and physically attend meetings both on and off campus.
This position also works weekends and evenings when appropriate or needed.
