**Responsibilities**
As a caregiver/patient care technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Administering prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical/vocational nurse, maintaining accurate medical records.
- Presenting medication to patients and observing ingestion or administering medication using specified procedures.
- Taking vital signs or observing patients to detect response to medication, and reporting reactions.
- Restocking medication inventories.
- Providing direct patient care and ensuring resident safety by identifying potential hazards and emergency situations, and taking corrective action as necessary.
