Job Title: Paralegal

At NM Law, APC, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our Litigation attorneys in managing case calendars, preparing correspondence, and drafting legal documents.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage case calendars and support Litigation attorneys in preparing and organizing case materials.
  • Prepare correspondence, including letters, emails, and other documents, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with a focus on attention to detail and organization.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases, including interviewing clients and witnesses to gather information and prepare case summaries.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including drafting trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating with outside vendors, such as court reporters and expert witnesses.
  • Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phones, photocopying, scanning, and filing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Paralegal experience, preferably in Litigation.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and maintain accuracy.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with attorneys, staff, and clients professionally and confidentially.
  • Exceptional grammar, proofreading, and writing abilities are a must.
  • Enthusiastic, articulate, quick learner, reliable, punctual, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with MyCase and Wealth Counsel, as well as a notary license, are advantageous.
