At HIKINEX, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Laboratory Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tasks, including wet lab bench activities, biological assays, and cell culture experiments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory experiments and assays under the supervision of our project lead, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Support the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures, working closely with our research project leaders.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, including liquid handling robots and qPCR machines.
- Document results and communicate scientific progress through written and verbal reports.
- Collaborate with our research team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or A.A. degree in a relevant field, such as biology, molecular biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience or higher education in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with a strong desire to learn and grow with our company.
- Competitive hourly rate ($20-23/hour).
- Opportunity to work on a 4-month project with the potential to evolve into a longer-term contract position.
- Hands-on experience working with our research team and contributing to the development of new laboratory procedures.
