Position Overview
The Cardiovascular Intervention Technologist plays a vital role at Capital Medical Center, providing essential technical assistance during various diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures. In this capacity, you will prioritize quality care, focusing on the comfort and well-being of both patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care activities under the supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Registered Nurse.
- Ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe environment in the designated procedure room.
- Complete necessary Cath Lab specific documentation accurately.
- Assemble, disassemble, and operate specialized equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist in Washington State or as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or currently enrolled in the second year of an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist program.
- RCIS certification or a commitment to obtain it within six months of employment.
- Current AHA, BLS, and ACLS CPR certifications at the time of hire.
- All staff are encouraged to utilize the Computer-Based Cath Lab Orientation 12-week module program as a resource to prepare for registry readiness.
