As a CNC Machinist Trainee at Quantic Electronics, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. Your duties will include setting up and running CNC machines, cleaning and deburring finished parts, and inspecting parts for dimensional tolerances. You will also be responsible for maintaining CNC equipment and manual machines, as well as keeping the machine shop clean and organized.
Responsibilities:
- Program and run CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Set up and run CNC machines, including setting up and running manual machines as required.
- Clean and deburr finished parts to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Inspect finished parts for dimensional tolerances to ensure compliance with drawing specifications.
- Maintain CNC equipment and manual machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep the machine shop clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
- Proficient desktop computer skills.
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Understanding of feed rates for end mills and drills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Multitasker able to keep several processes running at once.
- Experience using CNC milling and G-code preferred, but willing to train.
- Experience programming HAAS CNC using GibbsCAM preferred, but willing to train.
- Experience in AutoCAD preferred.
- Experience in SolidWorks a plus.
Education:
High School Diploma, College Preferred
Experience: 3 years
