POSITION SUMMARY
Accountable for collaborating with the safety and security team to create a secure living and working environment for students and staff. Oversees security operations and exercises sound judgment and discretion to address student and staff concerns. Conducts thorough investigations of incidents and accidents with the aim of resolution and prevention of future occurrences.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
May oversee Safety & Security personnel and act as the Safety & Security Manager when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
o Adheres to all integrity protocols and procedures, ensuring no manipulation of student data.
o Collaborates with Residential Living, Recreation, and Safety and Security personnel to guarantee effective supervision of the student body. Provides oversight and coverage in dormitories, at the Welcome Center/Security Gate, in Recreation, on the grounds, and in other designated areas.
o Assists the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a secure environment.
o Ensures compliance with safety and health regulations as mandated by PRH and OSHA.
o Fulfills DOL/Company reporting obligations.
o Participates in safety awards programs for students and staff.
o Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes safety and security data, taking appropriate actions to address issues and concerns.
o Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are monitored.
o Ensures all personnel comply with rest and meal break regulations.
o Conducts and documents comprehensive safety and accident prevention training across the Center.
o Conducts and documents incident and accident investigations in accordance with established timelines and requirements.
o Guarantees compliance with all PRH and other DOL, Job Corps, and Company safety directives.

o Provides timely operational support for Center activities to ensure quality programs and services. Seeks improvements in Center operations to achieve program goals.
o Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts by sharing relevant insights and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies issues, analyzes causes, and evaluates appropriate solutions before taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt and appropriate resolutions.
o Collaborates with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students.
o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including assignments to temporarily fulfill responsibilities of other departments and positions.
o Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced degrees are preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in military, law enforcement, safety, or security is required. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability criteria. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or assess the load to request necessary assistance.
