Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Elementary Physical Education Teacher Substitute to join our team at School Administrative Unit 9. As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible for providing a quality educational program in Physical Education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Planning: Plan and prepare instruction based on the District curriculum and student needs.
  • Content Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of all content areas and child development.
  • Physical Education Instruction: Provide instruction in Physical Education following district curriculum, setting high and attainable outcomes.
  • Assessment and Data Analysis: Design and use assessment data to monitor progress of all students towards established standards, maintaining accurate records.
  • Classroom Environment: Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning.
  • Classroom Management: Manage classroom procedures and student behavior.
  • Communication: Communicate with students and their families.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other educators within the school and across the District.
  • Accommodations and Modifications: Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications.
  • Professional Development: Actively participate within the professional community, growing professionally, reflecting on teaching and demonstrating professionalism.
  • Policy and Procedures: Follow District policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by the principal.
Requirements
  • NH elementary teacher certification in Physical Education or proof of eligibility for NH certification.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience preferred but not required.
