About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alcon. As a key member of our manufacturing site, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and unscheduled repairs on critical equipment, including HVAC systems, oil-free air compressors, and purified water systems.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns of facilities equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and specifications.
  • Use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and bench-top tools to perform job duties.
  • Complete light fabrication work and monitor critical systems.
  • Present observations and equipment status to team members and management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience.
  • Work Hours: 2nd Shift: 3 PM EST – 11 PM EST.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 Years of Facility Maintenance Experience.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Having a Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting Aptitude.
  • Experience following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
