Make a Significant Impact in Patient Care
The Family Nurse Practitioner – Paragon Infusion Centers plays a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care within their professional scope in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Administering prescribed therapies in accordance with physician orders, facility protocols, and company policies.
- Completing the patient admission process as instructed by the Center Director.
- Conducting thorough physical assessments for each patient as necessary, particularly for new consultations.
- Collaborating with the on-duty Nurse Practitioner for comprehensive assessments as required.
- Documenting all relevant information in the patient's medical records.
- Reporting significant changes or observations to the Center Director and ensuring follow-up on identified issues.
- Communicating effectively with the IV team regarding patient status and observations.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Evaluating patient responses to therapies and documenting findings appropriately.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring that all medication orders are accurate, complete, and current prior to treatment.
- Participating in an on-call program, which may involve after-hours, weekend, and holiday responsibilities.
- Offering clinical support for Nurse Practitioners on leave and assisting with new market launches.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner; or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
- At least one year of experience with intravenous therapies is required.
- A current, active, valid, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the applicable state is required.
- Active and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification is necessary.
- Multi-state licensure is required for providing services across multiple states.
- Completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel extensively to various work sites as needed.
- A minimum of one year of healthcare experience with intravenous therapies is strongly preferred.
