Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-award and ongoing audits and inspections, managing intricate requirements for vendor and supplier certifications, verifications, and documentation.
- Engage in price negotiations and cost analysis, employing suitable price analysis techniques to ensure fairness and reasonableness.
- Generate procurement and project management reports that support strategic goals, while conceptualizing, developing, and executing business solutions.
- Guarantee adherence to company policies, regulations, contract stipulations, and other performance metrics.
- Document and maintain purchase requisition records for the acquisition of goods and services.
- Investigate and identify components and materials from electronic equipment vendors, entering relevant data into the procurement database.
- Assess supply needs based on authorization documents or bills of materials.
- Maintain both manual and automated records for requisition processes.
- Ensure meticulous record-keeping, tracking, and filing.
- Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a larger team environment.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in procurement and related areas, with a focus on traditional procurement initiation and administration.
- Ability to evaluate vendor and supplier qualifications effectively.
- Familiarity with various price analysis techniques.
- Understanding of business and contract law, including FAR and DFARS, along with a solid grasp of finance and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint. Capability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial or government sectors, particularly in space, fulfillment, or parts environments, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, and make critical decisions.
- Familiarity with Government Procurement systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
- Experience with MRP Systems.
