Ryder System Inc. offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes:
SalaryWe pay our solo class A CDL truck drivers competitively, with solo miles paying $0.6825 per mile and solo stops paying $17.85 per stop.
We also offer additional pay for touch freight, paid training, and loyalty bonuses.
Job DescriptionOur solo class A CDL truck drivers play a critical role in delivering freight to various locations across the East Coast, Mid Atlantic, and occasional NYC.
The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
They will be responsible for loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer.
In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and logs, and detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid Class A CDL
- A minimum of 6 months experience as a solo class A CDL truck driver
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to safety and customer satisfaction
