About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Legal Talent Officer to join our team at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to attract, retain, and develop top legal talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent management programs to enhance the performance and engagement of our lawyers.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top legal talent.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our lawyers.
  • Manage a team of professionals to ensure the effective delivery of talent management services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including law schools, external training providers, and industry associations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent management and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in talent management, preferably in a law firm or professional services organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent management programs.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the legal industry.
