Job Title: Professional Embedded Tutor

Join SUNY Ulster as a part-time Professional Embedded Tutor and contribute to the success of our students in CNC, Certified Production Technician, and Metrology courses.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced tutor to assist students in our manufacturing programs. As a Professional Embedded Tutor, you will work closely with faculty and students to provide guidance and support in the classroom and through individualized sessions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in CNC, Certified Production Technician, and Metrology courses, providing guidance and support in the classroom and through individualized sessions.
  • Work closely with faculty to develop and implement tutoring strategies that meet the needs of our students.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Attend professional development workshops to stay current on best practices in tutoring and education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the faculty or department chair.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or related field.
  • Experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with teaching and/or tutoring in a manufacturing or engineering field.
  • Knowledge of Zoom video conferencing.
