Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse will deliver both direct and indirect care to obstetric patients, employing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires addressing the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and their families. Effective communication with all healthcare team members regarding changes in patient conditions or treatment responses is essential. The ability to remain flexible, organized, and composed in high-pressure situations is crucial.
Qualifications:
Education: An Associate degree is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Licensure: A valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or a compact state) is required.
Certifications:
BLS certification is mandatory.
Additional certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery is essential.
