Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Carle Health. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functional.
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and prepare for potential complications and emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
