Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at Martin County Hospital District. This is a full-time opportunity working 7pm to 7am shifts.

About the Role

This position involves providing total nursing care, assessment, documentation, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient's care plan to attain optimal health and continuity of care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in keeping with current clinical nursing practice.
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate care delegated to non-licensed personnel ensuring that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment.
  • Cross-train to all patient care departments to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required.
  • Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire.
  • Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g., ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred.
  • Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g., PALS or ENPC) preferred.
  • TNCC preferred.
  • One (1) year experience as a Professional Registered Nurse in a hospital environment preferred.
