Job Details:

  • Job Title: Phlebotomist
  • Location: Las Vegas, NV 89101
  • Duration: 6 months Contract (Possibility of extension)
  • Shift: M- 9 am - 6 pm, Tu- 9 am - 6 pm, W- 10 am - 7 pm OR Th- 10 am - 7 pm, Fr- 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Sa- 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Payrate: $18-21/hr. on w2 / *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

Requirements:

  • Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include paediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
  • Committed to all Policies & Procedures including Company dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

  • 6 months phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 1 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience working as a Phlebotomist.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
