We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at Ascension Providence Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing education to patients and families.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and effective patient care, including communicating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and lab results, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical setting.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
- Certification in a specialty area, such as Critical Care or Medical-Surgical Nursing.
