Cardiac Device Technician

As a Cardiac Device Technician at Salem Health, you will be responsible for assessing patients clinically for device and rhythm issues, including taking vital signs as needed. You will perform core functions such as assessment and evaluation, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of device technology, the purpose of device implant, and potential device-related causes for patient symptoms.

Background/Expertise:
To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. You must be BLS certified and hold a Certified Rhythm Technician credential. Additionally, you will require a minimum of 6-months training in pacemaker technology, including training in device classes with all companies from beginning to intermediate to advanced. You will also need a minimum of 2 years' experience in cardiology, preferably in a clinic and/or hospital setting, or as a device industry required, 3+ years preferred. Experience with ambulatory arrhythmia monitoring technologies and other standard cardiac testing & monitoring systems is also preferred.
